The Best Artisan Show
Most of you who follow my blog on a regular basis know how much I love Montreal, and who doesn't?! And yes it's partly because I'm an ex Montrealer and still feel at home every time I'm there but the other reason is the amazing creative community. I often ask myself why Montreal that attracts so many creatives and when we arrived at Souk at Sat on Sunday the answer was so clear. I was completely over whelmed by all the people who came out to support the local talent, It really warmed my heart. The building was filled with loads of holiday shoppers stocking up on unique gifts for their loved ones.
The artisans didn't disappoint every single stall was styled to perfection and all the products were so beautifully crafted it was hard for me to decide what to buy. If you would like to get some of these goodies here are a few of the shops
1.Lamps form Atelier-d | 2. Watch from Division Furtive | 3. Wearable ceramics by Merida Anderson . | 4. Dahls wonderfully crafted Aprons | 5. Felt bags by CANTIN | 6. Beautifully made ceramic by Ceramik B | 7. Unique lighting by Jean Pascal Gautheir | 8. Wonderful scents by Les Lares
Souk at Sat is an annual event to promote up and coming Montreal based artists, artisans and designers to people who hate holiday shopping in boxed stores and malls. Its held at the beautiful Society for Arts and Technology building on St.Laurent. It's such a great initiative & worth the trip.
